Crokinole Content: The G.O.A.T and our Blog

Since Tracey Boards was founded, we’ve received a plethora of questions from rules to board maintenance, but one question that has gone unanswered is: who is the Greatest of all Traceys? That question has officially been answered, as the Tracey’s met up for an all out crokinole clash! With an initial round robin to determine seatings for semifinals and finals, majority of people thought that Jeremy or Nolan would take the victory. However, Reid, who placed lowest in the first rounds, took the win over Jeremy in the semifinals, and Garret in the finale, making him the GOAT! The full series is up now on our channel, enjoy!

We’ve also been busy with our blog, and one new change is that we will now post our newsletter to our website, if you ever want to look back to see something in particular! Asides from that, we’ve also tackled a very pressing question for many: what do you do if your disc ends up standing on edge in the centre hole? We’ve got the answer for you, read all about it now in our most recent blog post!

EXCITING NEWS: Our Partnership with Carrooka

We, Jeremy and Elaine Tracey, are excited to share something new with you — something that reflects both our passion for well-crafted games and the joy of flicking gameplay. We’ve partnered with Jack and George Furnival, the inventors of Carrooka, to bring this brilliant game to North America.

If you haven’t discovered it yet, Carrooka is a fast-paced, strategic tabletop game that blends the best of cue sports with the fun and finesse of flicking games. And now, we’re honoured to be the ones building each Carrooka board for the North American market — right here in Canada. It’s its own game. Its own brand. Its own experience. But just like with our Crokinole boards, every Carrooka board we craft will reflect the same level of quality, care, and attention to detail.

This partnership with Jack and George feels like a natural fit — not just because we love the game, but because we share the same values when it comes to thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and bringing people together around the table. We’re thrilled to help grow the Carrooka community on this side of the Atlantic, and we can’t wait to get these boards into more homes, clubs, and game nights across North America.

Want to be one of the first to own a Carrooka board made in North America? Pick your board now and get started!

The US Open and the Ontario Singles Championship

On April 26th people from across the States and Canada gathered in Voorheesville for the infamous US Open Crokinole Championships! After a fun preliminary round robin the tournament went right into an elimination bracket, which brings us to the semifinal round. The four teams are: Irish Steel, made up of the tourney organizer Jason Molloy and top EPCC club member Magic Mike; the One Cheek Wonders, consisting of the Lake Champlain Semifinalist Eric Mammen and Ian Shaw, the team that placed second at the Charleston Doubles; Hammer Time, including a finalist from last years US Open, Ron Langill, and Josh Carrafiello, one of the top ranked players in the NCA; and the Canadian Cueballs, the iconic duo of Andrew Hutchinson and Jeremy Tracey. All the matches EXCEPT the final are out right now, so take some time this week to enjoy the US Open series! Most notably, make sure to watch the third place match, where Irish Steel and Hammer Time put on some great play and a spectacular performance for the audience, encapsulating the spirit of fun within crokinole. Enjoy!

Just one week after the US Open, people gathered in Elmira for the 2025 Ontario Singles Crokinole Championship! With an incredibly tough pool, 7 of the 8 quarterfinalists ended up being someone who had won at least one tournament already this season: Jeremy Tracey (Maryland and Charleston Doubles), Connor Reinman (World Championship Singles), Josh Carrafiello (Ontario Doubles), Jason Beierling (Scenic City and London), Ryan Buhr (Columbus Doubles and North Carolina Singles), Jamie Harter (Connecticut), and Andrew Hutchinson (Turtle Island, Windsor, Charleston Singles & Doubles). The only exception to this was Devon ‘Fortune’ Fortino, making his third ever crokinole debut at a highly competitive tournament.

Carrafiello beat Beierling in the quarterfinals, the Buhr, then overcame Fortino in the finals (that’s right, Fortune did it again) after an incredibly tight match that went to 14-12! Congratulations to Carrafiello on the big win before the season finale. Stay tuned, as the finals match will be out TOMORROW at 1PM EST!  For now, here is the semifinal match between Carrafiello and Buhr, and all the other matches for your viewing pleasure!

Thanks for playing the greatest game on earth and being part of the greatest community on earth.

Jeremy and the Tracey Boards Team.
