Summer may be over, but the crokinole fun is just beginning! With a slew of tournaments approaching in September and October, here’s everything you need to know about what’s going on in the World of Crokinole:

Jeremy and Elaine just returned from Seattle after four crokidole-filled days at our second ever PAX West event! See all the details below (and welcome, everyone from PAX who just got introduced to the greatest game on Earth)!

Quite a few tournaments have gone by since our last newsletter, and the world of competitive crokinole is only getting busier in the coming months. Take a look at our overview below, as well as everything that is coming up in the next few months.
PAX West 2025: an Overview
For the second year, Tracey Boards attended PAX West out in Seattle, Washington, for 4 crokinole-packed days. Well over a thousand people passed through the crokinole zone, some for the free play, and many for our tournaments. We had 70 players in our singles tourney, 20 teams in our doubles tourney, and we got so many requests that we put on a SECOND doubles tourney with ANOTHER 20 teams! We also had our Elite Tournament, featuring the helpers from the crokinole zone and other players who picked up the game rather quickly.

We also gave away two custom PAX West 2025 boards: one for the attendees who came by our spot, and one for the enforcers, who do so much to make PAX run smoothly. Congratulations to Spencer Hayes and Adnan Syed on your one-of-a-kind boards!

Learn Crokinole in 2 MinutesWith so many new subscribers from PAX, we figure that there’s some folks who will soon be breaking out their brand new boards, and need a quick refresher on how to play Crokinole. We’ve got you covered! Jeremy has created a 3-part video series: a rundown on how to play 1 V 1, a rundown on 2 V 2, and an overview on how to score a round and a game. Brush up on the rules by watching this short explanation, and get to playing the greatest game on earth ASAP! The Diamond State Crokinole Championship:Hosted by the Diamond State Crokinole Club at the Autumn Arch Beer Project in Delaware, this Tier 3 Doubles Tournament saw competitors from all over America in attendance, including Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. With 16 teams in the tourney, only one could be victorious. The morning round robin determined placements for the single elimination bracket in the afternoon, which narrowed it all down to 4 teams: The brothers Jonah and Ari Smith Posner from Pennsylvania made their first ever appearance at an official tournament, having been first introduced to the game at PAX Unplugged. Jeremy Reed and TJ Howell, the runners of the event and members of the Diamond State Crokinole Club, faced off against the brothers in the semifinal round In the other semifinal we saw a table of players all from different clubs. Marc Ponzio from the Brooklyn Crokinole Club, most recently having placed 2nd at the Vermont State Championship, partnered with Jamie Harter from the Point Crokinole Club, who is currently ranked 10th in the NCA standings. Up against them was Trey Snide from the Oxford Crokinole Club, and with him Dean Singh from the Triangle Crokinole Club. Both of these matches are OUT NOW (We’ve omitted who won in the semifinals, for those who don’t like spoilers)! Enjoy the action, and stay tuned for the finals, which will be out this Saturday!
